The Cypress Centurions posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. Everything went their way against Pacifica as Cypress made off with a 43-22 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Cypress has posted against Pacifica since April 20, 2021.
Cypress was led to victory by Sara Shigekawa and Isabella Caceres. Shigekawa scored 12 points along with four steals, while Caceres scored nine points along with nine steals and three blocks. Aisleigh Canaday was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two blocks.
The victory got Cypress back to even at 11-11. As for Pacifica, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress will take on Tustin at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Tustin is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Pacifica won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Santiago at 4:30 p.m. on January 20th. Santiago will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 838th, while Pacifica is ranked 284th).
