Even though the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights have not done well against the Millville Quakers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Neumann Regional Academy took down Millville 60-44. Winning may never get old, but Neumann Regional Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Neumann Regional Academy was led to victory by Shanniyah Tutler and GiGi Parlante. Tutler scored 22 points along with six rebounds, while Parlante dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Tutler has scored at least 25% of Neumann Regional Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Lizzie Weller, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Millville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Larissa Evans. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The game was Evans' 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Kakaley, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Neumann Regional Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Millville, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neumann Regional Academy will take on Sullivan County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sullivan County is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Millville, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Montgomery focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Wednesday.
