If the Seneca Bobcats were riding high off their 56-15 takedown of the Meadville Bulldogs last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Seneca took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northwestern on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Seneca of the 48-27 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Northwestern found their leader in underclassman Makayla Presser-Palmer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Presser-Palmer has scored at least a third of Northwestern's points. Chloe Yazembiak was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Seneca's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Northwestern, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road.

As for Northwestern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Iroquois at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
