Lafayette Central Catholic had lost five straight at home, but  on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 1-10 to make it six. They lost  20-3 to the West Lafayette Red Devils.  In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Stella Bates, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Kerrigan Gooden was another key player,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  runs and one  RBI.
 Coming up, Lafayette Central Catholic will challenge Benton Central at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Bison have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.09  runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Lafayette, they will square off against Faith Christian at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
