The McLane Highlanders waltzed into their game  Thursday with two straight wins  but they left with three. They walked away with  a   68-59  victory over Torres. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
 McLane was led to victory by  Cedric  Hughes  and  James Brown.  Hughes   dropped  a double-double on 22 points and 11  rebounds, while  Brown  scored 22 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. The  matchup was  Brown's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Demetrius  Simon, who  scored four points along with five  rebounds and five  steals.
 McLane's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Torres, they are  on a four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-5.
 McLane will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Templeton at 6:30  p.m.  on January 5, 2024. Torres and Reedley will round out the year against one another at TBD on Wednesday at.
