Heritage is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Liberty is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Heritage Patriots will take on the Liberty Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Tuesday, Heritage kept a clean sheet against Freedom. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Falcons. Give Heritage's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.
They hit Freedom with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Baylee Gregerson (3),
Alyssa Wilright, and
Brynn Faulkner.
Meanwhile, Liberty got the win against Pittsburg on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. Liberty's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.
Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 10-3-2. As for Liberty, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4-3 record this season.
Heritage skirted past Liberty 1-0 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Heritage have another victory up their sleeve, or will Liberty turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
