There's no place like home for the Lake Central Indians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Monday. They secured a  46-41 W over Valparaiso on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Lake Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Lake Central's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Vanessa Wimberly, who  scored 12 points along with five  rebounds.  Riley Milausnic was another key contributor,  scoring 12 points along with two  steals.
 Valparaiso's loss  came despite strong showings from  Becca Gerdt and  Lillian Barnes.  Gerdt  scored 14 points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals, while  Barnes  scored 20 points along with seven  assists and six  steals. Barnes is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's  now  scored 15 or more in the last six games she's  played.
 Lake Central's win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 18-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Valparaiso, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
 Lake Central will look to defend their home court  on Wednesday against Hammond Morton at 7:00  p.m. Hammond Morton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 339 points over their last five matchups. As for Valparaiso, they will head out on the road to  take on  Michigan City at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Michigan City will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Valparaiso is ranked 59th).
