Corning has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Orland Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Corning and Orland are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
Last Friday, Corning came up short against Las Plumas and fell 36-28. Corning has struggled against Las Plumas recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Orland beat Oroville 45-41 on Thursday.
Corning's loss was their 12th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-18. As for Orland, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.
Corning was taken down by Orland 51-24 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Corning avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
