Jeannette has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Leechburg Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Wednesday, Jeannette was beaten by St. Joseph 64-25. While losing is never fun, Jeannette can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while St. Joseph is ranked 138th).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-11, which was the final score in Leechburg's tilt against St. Joseph on Monday. Leechburg has not had much luck with St. Joseph recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Jeannette has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Leechburg, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Jeannette came up short against Leechburg when the teams last played back in January, falling 32-27. Can Jeannette avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
