The Plumas Charter Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Loyalton, falling 56-24.
Loyalton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sophie Holland out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Holland has scored all season. Catherine Petterson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Plumas Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Loyalton, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
Plumas Charter will head out on the road to challenge Princeton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Princeton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Loyalton, they will be playing at home against Paradise Adventist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise Adventist Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
