The Dunsmuir Tigers were the 20-0 winner over the Hayfork Timberjacks when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Dunsmuir took a serious blow against Hayfork on Tuesday, falling 42-12. Dunsmuir's defeat keeps them winless this season.
Dunsmuir's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alaya Rogers, who scored four points along with five rebounds and five steals. Rogers is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Dunsmuir's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hayfork, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Happy Camp the next time they take the court. Dunsmuir will host Happy Camp at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hayfork will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
