The Helix Highlanders won the last time they faced the Patrick Henry Patriots, and things went their way on Monday too. Helix managed a 32-28 win over Patrick Henry. The win made it back-to-back wins for Helix.
Helix's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordyn McMillan, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which McMillan has scored at least 25% of Helix's points. Another player making a difference was Valerie Marquez, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and three blocks.
Despite the loss, Patrick Henry still got an impressive performance from Cecelia Parker, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Parker.
Helix now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Patrick Henry, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Helix is on the road again on Saturday and play against Eastlake at 8:00 p.m. on December 16th. Patrick Henry will be home for the holidays to greet Crawford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
