Segerstrom is 9-1 against Ocean View since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Segerstrom Jaguars will be playing at home against the Ocean View Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Segerstrom is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ocean View in California (Segerstrom is ranked 281st, while Ocean View is ranked 1001st).
In what's become a running theme this season, Segerstrom gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Garden Grove 61-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Segerstrom has posted since December 27, 2023.
It was another big night for Stephanie Valenciano, who scored 12 points along with four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Claudia Solis, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Ocean View's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 36-35 to Godinez Fundamental. Ocean View has not had much luck with Godinez Fundamental recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Segerstrom is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Ocean View, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Segerstrom against Ocean View in their previous matchup on January 9th as the team secured a 57-24 win. Will Segerstrom repeat their success, or does Ocean View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
