Braylon Mullins is authoring one of the most dominant senior campaigns in high school basketball this season, averaging 35.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.9 steals per contest to guide
Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, Ind.) to a record of 13-2.
The 6-foot-5 guard is scoring with extreme efficiency from the guard position, shooting 67.2 percent from the field (182 of 271), 50.4 percent from 3-point range (53-105) and 85.4 percent from the free throw line (111-130). His 35.2 points per game ranks 10th nationally according to statistics submitted to
MaxPreps.
Mullins has scored 30 or more points in 13 of 15 games this season with totals of 27 and 29 in the two games he failed to reach the 30-point threshold.

In Greenfield-Central's last three outings, Mullins put up 41 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals in a win over Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville), 37 points, seven rebounds, four assists, four blocks and three steals against Shortridge (Indianapolis) and 43 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals vs. Shelbyville. The Cougars won all three games.
His most impressive performance may have come in the second game of the season when he went off for 41 of his team's 57 points in a five-point victory over Ben Davis (Indianapolis). He also piled up seven rebounds, four assists and three steals in the game while shooting 13 of 18 from the field and 5 of 7 from 3-point range.
Regarded as the No. 15 prospect in the Class of 2025 according to
247Sports, the dynamic scorer earned a spot on the 10-man
MaxPreps National Player of the Year watch list released earlier this month and is the front-runner for MaxPreps Indiana Player of the Year honors. He recently received the nod for the McDonald's All American Game.
Mullins rose up the rankings after a strong junior campaign paired with an impressive year on the Adidas 3SSB circuit over the summer.
He averaged 25.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.2 steals per contest as a junior to lead Greenfield-Central to a record of 24-1. The efficient bucket-getter also dropped a career-high with 51 points in a 74-72 win over Pendleton Heights (Pendleton) last season.
Mullins currently sits at 1,799 points for his career. At his current rate, he is projected to surpass 2,000 points for his career by the end of the regular season as the Cougars have nine games remaining on their schedule.
In search of the program's first state championship, Greenfield-Central is ranked No. 66 nationally in the MaxPreps expanded top 100.
