It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-21, which was the final score in Jim Thorpe's tilt against Pottsville on Friday.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Tamaqua sidestepped Lehighton for a 33-31 victory.
Tamaqua's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendle Miller, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. Lorelei Plasha was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Jim Thorpe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tamaqua, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
Jim Thorpe came up short against Tamaqua when the teams last played back in January, falling 42-37. Can Jim Thorpe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
