Saegertown is 0-10 against the Tigers since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Saegertown Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Maplewood Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, Saegertown narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bears 42-40.
Meanwhile, Maplewood had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.2 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They blew past Rocky Grove, posting a 47-12 victory on the road. Maplewood has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.
Saegertown is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Maplewood, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Saegertown came up short against the Tigers in their previous matchup back in January, falling 42-30. Can Saegertown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
