If Frontier was feeling good fresh off their 13-1 takedown of Hanford last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Frontier Titans fell just short of the St. Joseph Knights by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Frontier got a good showing from Jack Schaefer, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Schaefer posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Kale Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Tia, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Frontier's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for St. Joseph, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Frontier will take on Central in a tournament on Saturday. Frontier is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season. As for St. Joseph, they will be playing at home against Lompoc at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lompoc will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something St. Joseph surely won't give up without a fight.
