Paintsville waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Martin County Cardinals with a sharp 10-1 victory. Considering the Tigers have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lukas Stewart made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anderson Lauffer, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Brody Howell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Paintsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Martin County only posted an OBP of .240.

Paintsville's record is now 20-11. As for Martin County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 22 of their last 24 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-31 record this season.
