The Newbury Park Adventist Gators scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against Glendale Adventist by a score of 36-25. That's two games straight that Newbury Park Adventist has won by exactly 11 points.
Despite the loss, Glendale Adventist still got an impressive performance from Sofia Escudero, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Escudero continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
The win got Newbury Park Adventist back to even at 4-4. As for Glendale Adventist, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Newbury Park Adventist will stay at home for another game and welcome La Reina at 4:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Glendale Adventist, they will head out on the road to take on Hillcrest Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest Christian's defense has only allowed 25.8 points per game this season, so Glendale Adventist's offense will have their work cut out for them.
