Leading Canyon Springs to victory were Iyana Rojas and Izabella Tejada. Rojas dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Tejada dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rojas has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Marely Gonzalez, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Vista del Lago bumped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Canyon Springs, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-9.
Vista del Lago will head out on the road to face off against Elsinore at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Canyon Springs, they will be playing at home against Orange Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Orange Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Wednesday.
