The Happy Camp Indians's seven-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-23 victory over Dunsmuir at home. Happy Camp's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Dunsmuir's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cyla Clemens, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Grasie Hunt who scored four points along with three steals. That was a full 47.8% of Dunsmuir's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Happy Camp's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Dunsmuir, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Happy Camp will take on Hayfork at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dunsmuir, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Tulelake at 5:00 p.m.
