The Ripley Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 18th straight loss. They were dealt a 62-16 defeat at the hands of Westview. Ripley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-7.
Mccall Sims was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points for Westview. Josey Clark was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Ripley dropped their record down to 2-21 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.6 points per game. As for Westview, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripley will take on Milan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ripley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Westview, they will head out on the road to challenge Peabody at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Peabody will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Westview is ranked 31st).
