The Legacy Lightning Bolt will take on the Mead Mavericks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
Legacy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over Silver Creek. The result was nothing new for the Lightning Bolt, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Legacy got a great performance from Soren Monzyk as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. Monzyk has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chase Hoelting was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennen Reiser, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Legacy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Creek only posted an OBP of .211.
Meanwhile, Mead sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over Niwot on Thursday.
Isaac Lockwood tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, Tyler Brakel was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Keenein Nix, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Legacy's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Mead, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Everything went Legacy's way against Mead in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Legacy made off with an 11-1 win. Do the Lightning Bolt have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mavericks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
