Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lowell couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Half Moon Bay Cougars by a score of 49-47 on Tuesday. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Half Moon Bay's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoey Lemoge, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. Lemoge is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Delaney Dorwin was another key player, putting up 13 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Lowell's loss dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Half Moon Bay, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-7.

Lowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Half Moon Bay, they have already played their next game, a 48-40 defeat against Whitney on the 15th.
