Costa Mesa had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lompoc Braves a 7-0 shutout.

Costa Mesa's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five contests. As for Lompoc, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Costa Mesa will venture away from home to take on La Quinta at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Costa Mesa is facing La Quinta at the right time seeing as La Quinta is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
