 Despite the  loss, Palm Desert saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Katelyn Gallagher  had 17 points and three  steals. Gallagher is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last 33 games she's  played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was  Jizelle Roman, who  put up eight points and ten  rebounds.
Corona has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record  this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Palm Desert, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
