Everything went their way against Upper Perkiomen as Brandywine Heights Area made off with a 54-34 victory. Brandywine Heights Area might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four contests by 20 points or more this season.
Leading Brandywine Heights Area to victory were Olivia Moyer and Grace Potteiger. Moyer scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Potteiger scored ten points along with five rebounds. Moyer continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jenna Crist, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Erin States and Natalie Kearney certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. States scored 11 points, while Kearney scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Brandywine Heights Area now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Upper Perkiomen, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Brandywine Heights Area will finish 2023 at home by hosting Pequea Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pequea Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brandywine Heights Area in Pennsylvania (Pequea Valley is ranked 139th, while Brandywine Heights Area is ranked 398th). Upper Perkiomen's road trip will continue as they head out to face MAST Community Charter at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully MAST Community Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Thursday.
