Softball Recap: Bishop Neumann Has No Trouble Against Twin River

Bishop Neumann had won three straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 19-8 to make it four. They blew past the Twin River Titans 13-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cavaliers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

As for Twin River, they moved to 15-10 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but Bishop Neumann's pitchers proved too tough.

For Twin River's part, JLee Van Driel made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Van Driel is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 15 games she's played.

Looking ahead, Bishop Neumann will welcome Falls City at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.3 runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of. Twin River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
