Westover scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dougherty Trojans. The loss leaves the Patriots still looking for their first win of the season.

Westover got a big performance out of Jordyn Shorter, who scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-4. Those four stolen bases gave Shorter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominique Ball, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple and one run.

Even though they lost, Westover always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Westover's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Dougherty, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

While Westover had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
