Armstrong has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Shaler Area Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Armstrong will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the Titans are ranked ninth).
Last Friday, Armstrong suffered a tough 61-36 loss at the hands of the Foxes. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Armstrong has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Shaler Area waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took down Penn Hills 52-38.
Armstrong has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Shaler Area, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
Armstrong came up short against the Titans when the teams last played back in January, falling 73-62. Can Armstrong avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
