Softball Recap: South Adams Has No Trouble Against Adams Central

South Adams won against Woodlan on Tuesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Starfires blew past the Adams Central Flying Jets 15-5. Considering the Starfires have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Bekah Patterson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Brown, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

South Adams hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Adams Central struck out seven times.

The victory made it two in a row for South Adams and bumps their season record up to 16-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Adams Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

South Adams will venture away from home to square off against Eastbrook at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Adams Central, they will challenge Angola at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
