The Milpitas Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Independence as Milpitas made off with a 56-34 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Milpitas also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was Nohe'alani Stores, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Estela Paniagua, who scored nine points.
Milpitas' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. As for Independence, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milpitas will take on Gunn at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Independence, they will be playing at home against Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
