The Bernstein Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hollywood. If Bernstein hoped to take revenge for the 50-48 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
When it comes to explaining why Bernstein lost, one person who can't be blamed is Odali Rivera. Despite the final result, she scored 30 points. That was a full 60% of Bernstein's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Gisele Lusk was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Bernstein bumped their record down to 13-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Hollywood, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Bernstein will head out on the road to take on Mendez at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mendez comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Hollywood, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Contreras at 4:00 p.m.
