It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Solebury Spartans ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Abington Friends with a 48-44 victory. The victory was just business as usual for Solebury, who after three games remain undefeated this season.
Solebury found their leader in underclassman Naleli Coplan, who scored 27 points. The contest was Coplan's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Turner, who scored 12 points.
Solebury's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Abington Friends, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Solebury will head out on the road to face off against Kimberton Waldorf at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kimberton Waldorf's defense has only allowed 22.8 points per game this season, so Solebury's offense will have their work cut out for Solebury. Abington Friends will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 3:30 p.m. on December 20th.
