The Sonora Wildcats entered their tilt with the Summerville Bears with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Sonora sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Summerville on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sonora also won the last time the pair played back in January.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Estrella Machado and
Ava Holland, who scored both of Sonora's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 24 so far this season.
Sonora has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5-1 record this season. As for Summerville, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7-3.
Sonora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Summerville also has no future games currently scheduled.
