The Bonita Vista Barons posted their biggest win since November 25, 2023 on Wednesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 77-29 victory over Eastlake. With Bonita Vista ahead 46-17 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Mahliya Wilson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Bayanai Cordova was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Bonita Vista pushed their record up to 9-11 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Eastlake, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bonita Vista will square off against Olympian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Olympian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Eastlake on the road again on Friday and play against Mater Dei Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th.
