Yosemite and Sierra are an even 5-5 against one another  since January of 2019, but  not for long. The Yosemite Badgers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Sierra Chieftains at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Yosemite has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
 On Tuesday, Yosemite lost to Fowler on the road  by a decisive  56-40 margin. Yosemite has struggled against Fowler recently, as their  match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Yosemite's  loss came about despite a quality game from  Jadyn Johnson, who  dropped  a double-double on 22 points and ten  rebounds. Johnson is absolutely dominating the  rebound category: she's  posted at least eight every time she's  taken the court this season.  Izzy Harper was another key contributor,  scoring three points along with six  rebounds and three  steals.
 Meanwhile, Sierra stacked  an  eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Parlier with a sharp  53-29 win. Given Sierra's advantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 337th, while Parlier is ranked 717th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Yosemite has  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost nine of their last 11 matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Sierra, their win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 16-7.
 Yosemite took a serious blow against Sierra  when the teams last played  back in February of 2023, falling  86-22. Can Yosemite avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
