Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Discovery

Discovery entered their tilt with Central Gwinnett on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Central Gwinnett Black Knights 15-5. 15 seems to be a good number for the Titans as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Santiago Daal made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Daal was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Discovery let Wesley Pawlak and Beiker Yabarra run wild. Pawlak scored three runs while going 1-for-3, while Yabarra scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Alvaro Romero, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run.

Discovery's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Central Gwinnett, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7.

Discovery and Central Gwinnett could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Discovery will square off against Mill Creek at 5:30 p.m. on March 17th down 122 places (236 vs. 114). Meanwhile, Central Gwinnett (ranked 310th) will meet Buford (ranked 18th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
