There's no place like home for the Parkway West HOYAS, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Tuesday. They slipped by Mariana Bracetti Academy  34-33 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Parkway West also won the last time the pair played  back in January.
 Leading Parkway West to victory were  Kemba Brown and  Nymira Bryant.  Brown  scored 12 points, while  Bryant  scored 16 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which  Brown has scored at least 25% of Parkway West's points.
 Parkway West pushed their record up to 2-4 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Mariana Bracetti Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Parkway West will head out on the road to face off against Overbrook at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Mariana Bracetti Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech at 3:15  p.m.  on January 8, 2024.
