Rio Hondo Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Carson out in front who scored 14 points along with five assists and five steals. Carson hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Tara Riley, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Chadwick has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Rio Hondo Prep, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chadwick will take on Providence at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chadwick in California (Providence is ranked 212th, while Chadwick is ranked 931st). As for Rio Hondo Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mayfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
