Shasta has been on the road for five straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Enterprise Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Shasta suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 69-43 walloping at the hands of Foothill. While losing is never fun, Shasta can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Foothill is ranked 110th).
Shasta's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Joriana Gibbens-egolf, who scored 17 points, and Bria Tate who scored ten points along with five steals. Tate is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.
Meanwhile, Enterprise's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Pleasant Valley, falling 70-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Enterprise has scored all season.
Shasta's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Enterprise, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Shasta was able to grind out a solid win over Enterprise in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 56-45. Does Shasta have another victory up their sleeve, or will Enterprise turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
