After losing to the Carlynton Cougars the last time they met, the Jeannette Jayhawks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Jeannette enjoyed a cozy 38-24 win over Carlynton on Monday. That 38-24 margin sets a new team best for Jeannette this season.
Jeannette's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adriana Allison, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Allison has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Navarah Smith, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
The win got Jeannette back to even at 2-2. As for Carlynton, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Jeannette will head out on the road to face off against Northgate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northgate is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Carlynton will be home for the holidays to greet Ellis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ellis is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
