Baseball Recap: Christian Brothers Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Christian Brothers extended their winning streak to six on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 17-6 in the process. They never let the Laguna Creek Cardinals get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Christian Brothers got a great performance from Dre Lee as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. Lee has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hudson Schempp, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Ramsey, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

As for Laguna Creek, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-9 record. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but Christian Brothers' pitchers proved too tough.

On Laguna Creek's side, Dom Rivera was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Laguna Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Elliott, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Christian Brothers wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Bella Vista on the 16th. As for Laguna Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-2 victory against Rosemont on the 15th.
