The Washington Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Miramonte 51-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Washington has scored all season.
Karena Eberts continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Miramonte, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Eberts has scored at least a third of Miramonte's points. Julia Quinn Ferguson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Washington has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Miramonte, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.
Washington will be playing in front of their home fans against Mission San Jose at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Miramonte, they will head out on the road to square off against Mt. Diablo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Diablo is on a six-game streak of home wins, Miramonte a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
