Dawson Springs has not had much luck with Henderson County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Dawson Springs lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rex Blue, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Blue's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaybird Plunkette, who scored 17 points.
Dawson Springs' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2. As for Henderson County, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
Dawson Springs will take on Livingston Central in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Livingston Central is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Henderson County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pike Central at 12:00 p.m. on December 16th. Pike Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 311th in Indiana, while Henderson County is ranked third in Kentucky).
