The Ridgeview Wolf Pack won against the West Vikings last Saturday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Ridgeview came out on top against West by a score of 49-41. Given Ridgeview's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while West is ranked 374th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
West's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mikayla Villalobos, who scored 20 points. Villalobos scored a full 48.8% of West's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Caleigh Adams, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
The win was the third in a row for Ridgeview, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for West, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Ridgeview will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th. Centennial is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for West, they will take on Porterville at 5:15 p.m. on December 7th.
