Bryan County might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Jenkins who claimed the real prize. Bryan County fell just short of Jenkins by a score of 7-6. The Redskins' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Gunner McClelland made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Cooper Ennis, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Bryan County's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Jenkins, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

Coincidentally, Bryan County and Jenkins will both be playing McIntosh County Academy the next time they take the field. Bryan County will host McIntosh County Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Jenkins will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
