Fall River is 9-1 against Modoc since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Fall River Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Modoc Braves at 7:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, Fall River was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to Trinity.
Even though Modoc has not done well against Mt. Shasta recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Modoc simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mt. Shasta 57-9 at home. That looming 57-9 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Modoc yet this season.
Modoc can attribute much of their success to Caelli DePaul, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Julianna Minto, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Minto has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Weber, who scored ten points.
Fall River's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-10. As for Modoc, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-8.
Fall River beat Modoc 54-45 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Fall River have another victory up their sleeve, or will Modoc turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
