Friday, 7:30 p.m. Central timeWhy it's big: Christian Brothers goes for its second-straight Class 6 state title when it takes on fellow unbeaten Blue Springs South Friday night at the Edward Jones Dome.
Christian Brothers (13-0) defeated Kickapoo (Springfield), 35-14, in the semifinals to extend its winning streak to 27 games. It's been a resurgent year for the Jaguars, who were just a combined 16-16 the last three seasons.
Names to watch: Senior running back
Tre Bryant leads a Christian Brothers offense teeming with explosive playmakers. The Nebraska recruit has over 1,500 all-purpose yards and 24 touchdowns. Also watch for sophomore receiver
Kamryn Babb. He posted over 200 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a state quarterfinals win over Hazelwood Central.
Blue Springs South's offense relies on the tough running of senior back
Adam Cofield and the size and athleticism of 6-foot-4, 215-pound senior receiver
Briley Moore-McKinney. The pair has combined for just under 2,100 total yards and 29 total touchdowns.
