It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Sierra Vista Dons ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 46-40 W over Nogales. The victory was nothing new for Sierra Vista as they're now sitting on six straight.
Sierra Vista found their leader in underclassman Zaira Eulloque, who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five assists. Cailei Buna was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Nogales' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ariana Martinez, who scored 17 points, and Jordin Glass who scored 15 points.
Sierra Vista has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Nogales, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-13.
Sierra Vista will take on the Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nogales does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
